A NEW MUSICAL

BOOK & LYRICS BY
EDEN PHILLIPS

MUSIC BY

RICHARD LINK

Soldiers and civilians, Brits and Italians, opera and musicals, humour and poignancy, mortals and spirits are all woven together in Six Nights in Naples.

Set entirely on the stage of the Teatro di San Carlo in 1943, and based very loosely on real events, it offers a fresh and unusual twist on the time-honoured conventions of "let's put on a show" shows.

Six Nights in Naples was performed as a staged reading at the Charing Cross Theatre London. The video below contains extracts from the performance.

"Eden Phillips… knows just the right moment to surprise us with a plot development to sustain his yarn spinning along in high gear…

The fluency of his writing is buoyed up by the effervescent and tuneful score by Richard Link. On this evidence, Link is a major player as a music theatre composer, and a talent to watch."

Adrian Edwards, Musical Theatre Review
